ACCORDING TO THE AUTHOR YUSRA İZİN FROM TURKEY:
When we talk about the natural beauty of Maşukiye and its surrounding region, I can only say that it is just like a heaven on earth where you forget all the worries and begin to make your best memories of your life in a stress-free and peaceful atmosphere.
Maşukiye has two neighborhoods, namely Soğuksu and Çınarlı.Maşukiye is an eye-catching and pollution free beautiful village where your energy gets multiplied with its natural and organic mixed breakfast, and you will be enchanted at the tables where the fresh water fish is the main attraction followed with other delicious cuisines.
You can explore eating the delicious fish under sycamore, oak and hornbeam trees at the trout farm. You can also get your meal at the picnic areas and restaurants above the Trout Valley, where Yayla Stream flows. You can even taste local products through the Stalls where you can find Circassian cheese, village bread and highly recommended homemade jams.
Pişmaniye also known as Tel Halva is a famous sweet in Kocaeli region of Turkey. This unique sweet is found in almost every feast and festivals of Kocaeli.
The first person to make Pişmaniye was Hayri Usta from kandira. Apart from Turkey. This sweet is common in some parts of Bosnia.
Pişmaniye looks like a ball of cotton but it is made from butter, vanilla cocoa, lemon, salt, sugar, flour and water.
Usually local people prefer to buy it from bakeries instead of preparing it at homes as it needs mastery as a cook to maintain consistency. Its delicious taste makes it a heart winning dessert for even those who are tasting it for the first.
