Ireland is a country famous for its diverse landscapes, rich history, culture, music, lively public, lively people, music, literary culture and welcoming people. Ireland is also famous as the country having countless shades of green along with Lush green countryside. This is the reason why Ireland is also known as Emerald Isle.
The best thing about visiting Ireland is that whether you are travelling by train, bus or a private car, the well-connected network provides you an exciting and relaxing journey and you can explore an eye-catching view throughout the journey even while moving from one place to another.

Some interesting facts about Ireland is that it is the only country where you will find a larger number of red-haired people than anywhere else in the world. Celtic culture is somehow still alive. There is a saying that the birthplace of the Halloween festival is none other than Ireland as Halloween was invented in Ireland 2000 years ago.  Apart from that, Ireland is also famous for its sports, literary personalities and music worldwide. Irish musicians have given significant and notable performances in many competitions of Eurovision in the past and won the Eurovision title 7 times.

Before we start discussing further, one should be clear that Ireland is divided into two parts. “Republic of Ireland” and “Northern Ireland”. BENBULBEN MOUNTAIN:

Benbulben Mountain in Republic of Ireland is famous due to its distinctive shape of mountains and mesmerizing views. Benbulben’s paved trails make it a popular destination for hikers and climbers. This place is a source of attraction for photographers and nature lovers too but this place is best known for its literary associations; particularly, the Irish Poet W. B. Yeats drew inspiration from the mountain and its surrounding landscapes, most notably in his 1938 poem “Under Ben Bulben.”

Ring of Kerry is one of the highly visited places in Ireland as Ring of Kerry has a lot to offer including scenic views, historical sites, cultural destinations, majestic mountains, mysterious ruins, charming villages and a lot more.

When we talk about the literary personalities of Ireland, this land has given birth to countless authors and poets whose works in English Literature gained fame on international level and they are followed by their fans worldwide even today. It can be said that English Literature is incomplete without including the golden works of these literary personalities. Let’s have a look at a few of them.

Jonathan Swift: 

Jonathan Swift was a satirist and we find his best satire in Gulliver’s Travels. This work turned out to be a trend setting masterpiece and gained fame worldwide. Many movies have been made on Gulliver’s Travels.

There is a saying that this sport has been famous here for the last 3000 years. Each team has 15 players. The female version of this game is called Camogie.

Rugby:

Rugby is a popular sport in Republic of Ireland. The Rugby team of Ireland is considered as one of the top teams in the world. They have participated in countless international tournaments and have overwhelmed their fans by their extraordinary performances.

Gaelic Football:

Gaelic Football is more than just a sport in Ireland. Gaelic Football is considered as a National Pride and it is a strong part of their culture. Public loves to watch the exciting matches of Gaelic Football during the summers. Gaelic football is a sport played on a rectangular grass pitch between two teams, each having 15 players.

Boxty is a traditional Irish potato pancake prepared from mashed potatoes, flour, salt, black pepper, baking soda and milk. Boxty. Irish potato pancake is served as a side dish or sometimes as an appetizer. 

Irish Chocolate Mousse:

Irish Chocolate Mousse is one of the best desserts from Ireland famous all over. Ingredients typically include chocolate or dark chocolate, powdered sugar, eggs, cream and sometimes vanilla too. Once you taste delicious Irish Chocolate Mousse, you cannot resist yourself eating it again and again during the entire journey.

Carrageen Moss Pudding:

Carrageen moss pudding is a traditional Irish pudding prepared from seaweed, milk eggs, vanilla and sugar. This delicious pudding is served with fresh berries to balance the sweetness.
