Horses are considered as one of the eye-catching animal for human beings since ages not just because of the attraction of its beauty but for the characteristics, which a horse possess naturally.  Horses have strong flight or fight response, and have strong sense to escape any attack from their predators. They are obedient to their caretakers and sometimes even protect them in time of need.

Normally, horses have skeleton of average 205 bones. Female horse above or at the age of four is called Mare while female below the age of four is known as Filly. A male horse under the age of four is commonly known as Colt while a new born horse (either Male or Female) is known as Foal. Normally, Mare takes around 11months period to give to a new baby horse. Usually mare gives birth to just a single foal at a time. In rare cases, we may find a twin birth of foals. Horses are blessed with God gifted ability that a newly born Foal can stand and even run shortly after the birth. Training under a saddle or harness as a child/adolescent horse begins at the age of two and continues until the age of four. They become an adult at the age of five. After that, they can be used for long journeys, sports and wars. An average life span of a horse is between 25 to 30 years.

When we talk about senses of horse, we find that they have better sense of smell than that of human beings while their smelling sense is less than that of dog.  Horses have strong sense of taste. They have ability to select what they would like to eat and what not. They never eat any poisonous plant. They have sensitive areas around their eyes, nose and ears. They observe any unusual activity immediately especially if some insect touching their body.

People always ask one question about horse. As we have countless types of horse all over the world. Which type of horse is considered as best among all? It is very difficult select just one type of horse to be number one as every type of horse has its own pros and cons.

ARABIAN HORSES

Mostly people agree that Arabian horses are considered as Ferrari of the horse world. Arabian Horses are also famous as oldest breed in the world. Some people even claim that these horses were present even during the period of Hazrat Suleiman (A.H) also known as King Solomon in Western World.

Arabian Horses are versatile, they easily learn any kind of discipline through training, and they are friendly at the same time. You can use them in any event you want without any hesitation. Arabian horses are mostly found in gray, chestnut and black color.

GYPSY HORSE:

Gypsy horse is considered as a treasure in today’s world because this breed is rare to find. They are beautiful, eye-catching and treat to watch. They are fast and powerful at the same time. They feel happy when someone touch them with love and care.

They are human friendly and becomes emotionally attached to the person who cares for them. They always impress human beings through their jumps in almost perfect style.  Gypsy horses are mostly found in Pieblad (Black & White) and Skewbald (Brown & White)

FRIESIAN HORSE:

Friesian horses are famous for their ability to take part in sports and leisure activites. They have almost equal stamina like Arabian Horses, Morgans and Thoroughbreds.

There was a time when we had a fear that this breed might become extinct from the world back in 1913A.D but Friesian breed centers in Netherlands saved their generations. Friesian Horses are famous for their quality bones and beautiful body. Friesian horses are mostly found in black, dark brown, black bay and true black color.

SPANISH HORSES:

The Andalusian horses which are also famous as Spanish horses are considered as one of the best horses in entire Europe. This breed is famous for their loyalty towards their owner. They are known as horses with big heart as they try to do much more than their ability to please their owners.

Initially, Spanish horses were used mostly for bull fighting, as it was tradition in Spain in old days. The price of Spanish horses vary between $5000 to $35,000. Spanish horses are mostly found in bay, gray, black and chestnut.

KAMBARBAY HORSE:

This horse is different from all other breeds due to its metallic golden color. It seems as it is dipped in gold. This horse belongs to the race of Akhal-Teke.

They are not only beautiful but they are athletic and intelligent at the same time. They are currently only 3500 in number all around the world.
