When we begin the journey of exploring the most beautiful and epic places in Europe, no one can complete his journey without visiting the French Island “Le Mont-Saint-Michel” which is also known as “Wonder of the Western World.” The beautiful Castle located in the middle of the island is famous all over the world for many reasons but one of the highlighted reason is that Mont-Saint-Michel has been shown as a Fairy tale Castle in countless Disney projects (Movies and Cartoons) particularly, the famous cartoons like “Beauty and the Beast” and “Cinderella.” When you enter the castle in reality, you feel like you have entered into the world of fairy tale in reality.
This beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the second most famous tourist attraction outside Paris. The Island is located around one kilometer of the North Western Coast. The easiest way to reach Mont Saint Michel from Paris is to take a train towards Rennes. From there, you can easily find a shuttle bus that will take you to the island within 20 minutes.
Ideal time to visit the Island during the months from March till October in order to avoid bad weather. If you want to avoid massive crowd then you should visit early in the morning or after 5pm in the evening.
When you enter through the gates, you will be welcomed by the medieval architecture, beautiful chapels, Gothic monastery and eye-catching mesmerizing view that will make your journey unforgettable.
If you are interested in staying at this beautiful Island, there are some hotels near by the Castle like Hotel Croix Blanche, Hotel Lermitage and Hotel du Guesclin, hotels close to the outer walls of the Mont Saint Michel, where you can stay at reasonable rates.

The Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the Wonders of the World. Almost a mirage! It is a majestic place that everyone should visit one day, it is more than a tourist place. Mont-Saint-Michel remains above all a renowned religious center. Mont-Saint-Michel is one of the 13 Sanctuary Cities in France.
It represents, with Rome and Santiago de Compostela, one of the most important pilgrimages of the Medieval West. Prayer and hospitality is always respected. Especially since 2001, with the presence of the Brothers and Sisters of the Monastic Fraternities of Jerusalem.
FROM A TOURIST’S POINT OF VIEW:
What can you do at Mont-Saint-Michel as a tourist? You can observe the Mont from the large viewpoint of the dam and take the opportunity to observe the phenomenon of the overflow. You can climb the Grande Rue and the ramparts.

Such an amazing place, I was almost lost in the beauty of the Castle. I always thought in my childhood that This Castle and Island is a fairy tale place and doesn’t exist in real. But thanks for highlighting the facts. I would love to visit Mont Saint Michel one day.
